It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the demise of Margaret Wanjiru Ng’ang’a, formerly of Concord- Massachusetts and more recently of Malaa-Kangundo Road, Machakos County on 17th February 2025 after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late Peter Ng’ang’a Githirwa and the late Rahab Waithira Ng’ang’a, and a step-daughter of Beth Njahira of Gitwe, Karatu Division, Gatundu.
Margaret was a beloved mother of Anthony and Alexander Kigondu.
Cherished by Prof. Christine Sekadde Kigondu (widow of the late Dr. John Giceha Kigondu) and her children Sanyu Namirembe, Elizabeth Subi, and Wangu Samalie Kigondu.
She was a sister of the late Rev. Daniel Githirwa, the late Dr. Wanguhu Ng’ang’a, Ruth Kabura, Francis Wainaina, Isabelle Wangeci, Rose Wangari, Pastor Ann Wairimu, Victor Manyara, Alex Kinyanjui, David Njau, and Lydia Njambi.
Step-sister of Murigi, the late Wanjiru, Wambui, Githirwa, Wainaina, Murunyu, and Wangari.
She was a beloved aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and a treasured friend to many both in Kenya and in the diaspora.
The cortege will leave on 27th February 2026 from Montezuma Funeral Home at 8.30 am.
Followed by a Memorial service at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 10:00 a.m. and thereafter a committal service at the Kariokor Crematorium in Nairobi at 1.30 p.m. of the same day.
