With regret, we announce the demise of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lucia Nyakerario Nyanchama, cherished wife of Nyanchama Moirongo (deceased) and co-wife of Jerusha Nyanchama.
She was the daughter of Mzee Sylvanus Osoro and Paulina Kemunto (both deceased) of Bobembe, Bogichora, and daughter-in-law of Moriongo Obuba and Nyakerario o’ Kongo (both deceased) of Bomabacho, Nyangoso.
She was a devoted mother of Thomas Osumo (deceased), Peninah Kerubo, Agnes Megeke, Joyce Onyoni, Nyaboke Nyamweya, Zipporah (deceased), Daniel Michira, Samson Onundu, Mary Githaiga and Osoro. A caring stepmother of Mary Rabera, Agnes Bwoma (deceased), Dr. Matunda, Osumo, Michira, Kerubo, Moraa, Dr. Obuba, Butuna, Mogaka, and Naomi.
Mother-in-law of Lucy (deceased), Isoe, Megeke (deceased), Onyoni (deceased), Nyamweya, Orero, Stella, Moraa, Githaiga and Brenda.
Her grandchildren, among many others, include Agata, Gisore, Pauline, Christine, Twabe, Ong’era, Nyakweba, Nyaboke, Nyamu, Hon Rabera and Shiphrah.
She was an aunt of many, including Nyong’a Obuba, JJ Kiage, Matunda Onundu (deceased), Clement Makori (deceased), Michira Makori, Okong’o Osumo, Zablon Nyang’au (Rtd), Maj. Gen (Rtd) Johnson Ondieki.
Daily meetings are ongoing at her home in Nyangoso (Nyamira), Rigena Lions Hotel, Nakuru, and her residence near Club East, Kapkures, Nakuru.
A main fundraiser to offset funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday, 10th February 2026, at the Rigena Lions Hotel, Nakuru, at 5.30 pm.

Mama Lucia will be laid to rest on Friday, 13th February 2026, at her rural home in Nyangoso, Nyamokenye, Nyamira County.
