With humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing of Mr. Josephat Mureithi Mutugi, MBS on Friday, 14th November, 2025.
He was the loving husband of Zipporah Muthoni and father of Anthony and Anne, Thomas and Sharon, Douglas and James and Sheila. He was the doting grandfather of Erin, Josh, Elaine, Zoe, Amani and Mali.
He was the son of the late Njoroge Baragu and the late Mary Muthoni Kionano, brother of the late Gladys Wamuyu and Mwangi Gachirigwa, Lydia Wandia and Benson Kihuku and Rhoda Warukuri and John Mugera. Beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces.
He was son in law of the late Thomas Gachangi and Elizabeth Gachui, brother in law of the late Esther and Absalom Karani, the late Milcah and Patrick Kimani and the late Mary Njoki.
He was in-law of Stanley Kamuyu Githaiga and Margaret Kamuyu, the late Dr. Benjamin Ngundo and Mary Ngundo and Prof.Alfred Otieno and Rose Onyango and to all their children.
Prayers will be held at his Loresho home on Tuesday, 18th November 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
Change of time.
There will be a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday, 19th November 2025 from 2.00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
He will be interred at his family home in Kirinyaga on Thursday, 20th November 2025.
