It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Mr. John Njoroge Gathu, Managing Director of Sealbelt Enterprises Limited.
He was the son of the late Andrew Gathu Njoroge and Maria Karimi. He was a beloved father of Andrew Gathu, Robert Gitau, Maryann Karimi, Andrew Muigai, and Solomon Hato.
He was brother of James Njuguna (Wamaria) and Joseph Mbugua, both of Sealbelt Enterprises Limited. Stephen Mbugua, the late Hannah Njeri of Smoothlink, Peter Thagana, Rosemary Gitau of Smooth & Smoothz, Wambui Kuria, Francis Ndungu (Greece), Father Bernard Ndungu (South Africa), Gabriel Murigi of Nakuru, Wanjiru Njogu, Patrick Murua, Sister Eunice Wanjiku of Sisters of Mary Immaculate Nyeri and Jecinta Ngendo.
He was grandfather of Alma Nyambura and the father-in-law of Joseph Mwangi.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kinenii Village, Nyanduma Ward and at the Blue Spring Hotel for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege will depart from Kenyatta University Referral Mortuary on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 9:00 A.M for funeral at his home in Kagwe, Kinenii Village, Nyanduma Ward, Lari Constituency, Kiambu County.
