JOEY MICAH NJENGA WAKAHU

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Joey Micah Njenga Wakahu, who passed on 11th January 2026 after a short illness.

He was the beloved son of the late David Wakahu Ng’ang’a and the late Tabitha Njeri Wakahu.

He was a loving husband of Jannifer Nduta Njenga and a devoted father of David Wakahu, Tabitha Njeri, Leonard Ngahu and Kevin Ng’ang’a.

He was a dear brother of the late Peter Ng’ang’a Wakahu, Penina Wanjiru Tiba, the late Peris Wathira Kanja, late Hannah Njoki, Esther Muthoni Chege, the late Ruth Wanjiku Waweru, Grace Wangechi Wakahu, and Rosemary Mwihaki Nduati. 

He was a cherished son-in-law of the late Leonard Ngahu Kamau and the late Grace Nungari Ngahu. 

Brother-in-law of Stanley Kamau Ngahu, Samuel Ndung’u Ngahu, Alex Njenga Ngahu, and Rachel Wanjiku Kinyanjui.

He was also a loving father-in-law of Catherine Wanjira Ngahu and a proud grandfather of Devien Njenga, Michael Njenga, Mckenna Ballard Nganga, Jennifer Nduta Ngahu, Christine Njeri Ngahu and Tabitha Njeri Ngahu, Nathan Karimi (USA), Diyan Nganga Jennifer Nduta Nganga,

Family, friends, and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Kasarani complex view Estate Block B, and at PCEA Zimmerman, from 6:30 p.m.

There will be a memorial service at PCEA Zimmerman Today, 14/1/26 from 6.00pm.

The cortege will leave KU Funeral Home, Thika Road on Saturday, 17/1/26 at 7.00am for the funeral service at PCEA Gitombo starting at 10:00 a.m.,

after which the body will be laid to rest at his rural home in Gitombo, Komothai Location, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County.

Dad you have fought a good fight, you have finished the race and kept the faith.

In God hand you rest. In our hearts you live forever
