It is with deep sorrow and humble submission to God’s will, we celebrate the life of Joanne Chazima Masivo, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, 28th August 2025, after a long illness bravely and gracefully borne.

Joanne was the beloved daughter of the late Colin James Adulu and the late Rose Ungaji Adulu; devoted wife of Edwin Masivo of Global Exhibitions INC; and a loving, radiant mother of Bryson, Akim, and Arya.

She was a cherished sister of Eric, Vincent, Anderson, George, Evans, Edward, Lynette, and Irene, and a treasured friend to many.

Her life was marked by unwavering faith, kindness, and compassion.

As Executive Director of the Joanne Chazima Sickle Cell Foundation, she turned personal trials into advocacy, raising awareness and offering support to those affected by Sickle Cell Disease. Joanne’s resilience and selflessness were a beacon of hope to many. 

An accomplished entrepreneur, she was Director and Co-Founder of GEX, GEX Visuals, and FUACARE, ventures that reflected her creativity and commitment to uplifting others.

Church service will be held on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025 10:00 AM at CITAM Valley Road. 

Burial will follow on Saturday, 6th September 2025 at her family home in Jitambuni Village, Serem Sub-location, Hamisi Sub-County,Vihiga County.

Family and friends are meeting at CITAM Valley Road at 5:30 PM on Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday (2nd – 4th September) for fellowship and planning.

Though Joanne’s earthly journey has ended, her legacy of love and faith lives on.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
