We wish to announce the sudden death of Jane Wanjiru Watunu, formally of IPAS (Africa Alliance) on Sunday 5th October 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph and Hannah Watunu of Farm Machinery & Small town, Eldoret.
Doting mother of Bancy Wangui (Muringo), of Sunda International, Nairobi. Daughter -in-love of the late Bancy Muringo Ndeng’era & Philip Ndeng’era Muriithi.
Sister of Sylvia (USA) & Alex Kamau, Margaret Watunu, Emily & Alloys Kuria, Lucy & Late Kamau Watunu (Baba), Francis & Judy Watunu, Mwangi & Beatrice Watunu, the late Joseph Kibiithe & Jeremiah Watunu.
Sister in law of Charity Gichuru, Jennifer King’ori, Rose Mutuota, James Karuri, Beatrice Waweru & Lillian Kareithi.
Niece of the Wanjama’s family (NKU), Githungá family (NKU), Rwara family (Gilgil), Kihungi family (Murang’a), the late Wangeci (Mama Mombasa Ktl), amongst others.
Auntie of Milka Bechtloff (Germany), Sammy Kamau (USA), Anne Wairimu Kamau (Nairobi), the late Joseph Kamau, Joseph Watunu (Eldoret), John Kuria Karanja (Eldoret), Joseph Watunu Karanja (USA) Sylvia Wambui Karanja (Liquor Library),Annalina Watunu (Australia), Jeffrey Watunu (Sweden) Nigel Watunu (Nairobi), Sean Watunu (Hungary), Joseph Watunu Mwangi (Bermuda), Barbara Wangeci (Strathmore University) Annette Wairimu (Eldoret), Joseph Watunu Kamau (Nairobi) amongst others and grandmother to many.
Daily Meetings in Nairobi will be held at the Saint Pauls Chapel, University Way, from 6.00pm.
Meetings in Eldoret, will be held Daily at Margaret Watunu’s residence in Pioneer Estate from 5.30pm.
Requiem mass will be held on Wednesday 8th October 2025 at the Christ The King Catholic Church Embakasi from 12.30pm.
Funeral service will take place on Friday 10th October 2025 Mother of Apostles Seminary, Eldoret & later proceed to Yamumbi Cemetery.
