It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Jane Wanjiku Kamau, which occurred on Saturday, 24th January 2026. Jane hailed from Gatune Village, Kigumo, Murang’a County.
She was the wife of the late Paxson Kamau Muchunu and daughter of the late Daniel Mbogo and the late Freda Njoki.
She was sister of the late Jamleck Irungu.
Jane was a loving mother of Freda Njoki, James Muchunu, Marylene Wambui, Catherine Waithira, Daniel Mbogo (USA), Stephen Githinji, Hilda Wanjeri, Hon.Jamleck Kamau, Roxann Muthoni (USA), and Kenneth Njoroge.
Step mum of the late John Muchunu, Rosemary Njeri, Benardette Mwaniki, late Nathan Ngonjo, Ann Kahuro, Evans Githinji, Joyce Kinandu, Elijah Karagu, Mercy Kamweya, Julia Kinandu and Joan Muhuthia.
She was a mother-in-love of the late Wilson Ngigi, Bernadette Wanjiru, Grace Waithira (USA), Nancy Wambui, Agnes Mwari, Josephine Nduku, and Linda Achieng.
Family and friends are meeting daily, starting today, 28th January 2026, at PCEA St Andrew’s Church, Nairobi, from 5:30 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.
She was grandmother to 32 grandchildren and great grandmother to 28 grandchildren
Meetings will be held from Wednesday 28th, 29th and 30th January at St Andrews Church Hall one.
Details regarding the day of send-off will be communicated in due course.
