It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Mr Jack Gachugu Gathara of Gachugu Academy, Nyeri County which occurred on Thursday 5th February 2026.
Husband of the late Winrose Wamuyu Gachugu. Son of the late Gathara Gachugu and late Wakingi Gathara.
Father of James Gathara, Martha Wanjiru, George Kabubii and Eva Muthoni.
Father in Law of Grace Waithira and Emmanuel Ng’aru.
Brother of late Nyaguthii, late Kaguma, Josephine Wangui and Lydia Chege. Brother in Law of Njure, Rose, Wachira, Chege, Wanjira, Mumbi, Gathigo, Waitherero, Wangu, Ngari, Nyokabi, Nyaituha, the late Wangu, Chege, Ndegwa, Alice and Nyachomba.
Grandfather of Cindy, Sarah, Kinuthia, Gachugu, Prudence, Lena, Jasmine, Njoki, Wanjiku, Wanjiru and Njamba. He was a cherished uncle to many.
The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Karatina Mortuary on Friday 13th February 2026 at 9.00 AM for the funeral service at Gachugu Academy in Ragati village, Nyeri County at 11.00 AM and interment at his home thereafter.
