It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mr.Isaac Reuben Machira Matu, which occurred on March 9th , 2026.
He was the son of the late Reuben Matu and the late Ruth Gathoni Matu.
He was a loving husband of Charity Nyawira Machira, devoted father of the late Owen Matu Machira, Lucy Gathoni Machira, Michael Kahagi Machira and Joan Njamiu Githaiga.
He was the beloved Father-in-law of Leah Kahagi and Chris Githaiga He was the brother of the late Simon Njage, Esther Nyawira, the late Mary Wangu, the late Henry Gakomo, Susan Wambui and Rachel Mumbi.
Brother-in-law of the late Kirira Job Kahagi, the late Zipporah Matambo, the late James Kihori, Miriam Macharia, Perpetua Pasha, Lydia Wainaina, Maina wa Job, Grace Kahagi, the late Irene Wangari and the late Antony Hunja; the late Nellie Njage, Lucy Nduta, the late Titus Ndegwa, the late Eustace Warutere, the late Felista Gakomo, and the late Mwangi Ngotho.
He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a doting grandfather of Ethan Machira, Nayah Nyawira, Brianna, Ian, Aiden and Arabella.
The funeral service will be held on Friday 20 th March, 2026 at his residence at Gitunduti Village, Magutu Ward, Nyeri County starting at 10.00am.
Friends and family will be meeting at All Saints Cathedral Church, Nairobi on Friday 13th , Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th March 2026 at 5:30pm, and also at his residence in Gitunduti Village, Magutu Ward.
