With heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden and peaceful passing on of our Patriarch Hon. Dr. Dalmas Maurice Otieno Anyango that occurred on 7th September, 2025.
Hon. Dalmas Otieno served with excellence in various local, national & regional capacities including: Former MP for Rongo Constituency, Cabinet Minister for Industry, Manpower, Planning & Development, Transport and Communication and Public Service. Chairman of African Ministers of Transport and Communication, Chairman Conference of African Ministers for Public Service, Chairman Multisectoral Constitutional Review Committee, Vice Chair Salaries & Remuneration Commission (SRC), Executive Chairman Thabiti Finance & Insurance Brokers LTD, Member Parliamentary Committee on Administration and National Security and Kenyas Special Envoy to South Sudan Peace Talks.
He was son of the late Petro Anyango Okongó and the late Gaudencia Opiyo Anyango. Husband of Patricia Atieno Otieno, the late Jane Agola Otieno, and Hon.Dorothy Atieno Otieno.
Brother of Maurice Ariyo Anyango, Susana Oroko, and the late John Khoja and Anthony Mwango.
Son-in-law of the late Valentinus and Julliana Ogada, late Elkana and Sylvia Otieno and Elizabeth Okello.
Father of Fred, Lillian, Eddie, Lucas, William, Peter, Kevin, the late (Eflyne, Joan and Isaiah), Sylvia, Dalmus Junior, Price, Ramogi & Rayier Otieno.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Nairobi Club from 5.00pm.
There will be a fundraiser on Wednesday 24 th September at All Saints Cathedral at 5.00pm.
The Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday 30 th September at Don Bosco Catholic Church Upper Hill, Nairobi at 9:00am.
The cortege leaves Wilson airport on 1 st October for Lichota Airstrip, Migori County.
Hon. Dr. Dalmas Otieno Anyango will be laid to rest on 2nd October 2025 at his home in Kangeso Village, Kamagambo Location, Rongo Constituency, Migori County.
