It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hellen Nyamu Mutegi of Karamani Village, Mukuuni Location, Magumoni, Chuka South Sub County, Tharaka Nithi County which occurred on 20th March 2026 at Chogoria Mission Hospital.
Daughter of the late Mwoga Wa Muanga and the late Ciangai Wa Mwoga Ciangai.
Hellen was wife of the late Mutegi Njue Mwacha and Co-wife of Lenity Ciekamba.
Sister of the late Njoka Wa Mwoga, late Mati wa Mwoga, late Mutegi Mwoga and Musyoka Mwoga Mother of the late Kaari, Njagi, Rugendo, Karani, late Gitonga, Kinyua, the late Kirimi, Mutembei, late Kageni and Kimanthi.
Step mother of Kagendo, Murugi, Mugambi, Mutwiri, Kendi and Maria.
Mother in-law of Serah Njeri, Ann Muthoni, Janice Kambura, Njeri Gitonga, Lydia Gacheri, Ajelican Muthoni and Christine Karimi.
Grandmother of Murithi, late Kawira, Kathomi, Mukami, Kathambi, Gakii, Sheila, Lilian, Favour, Kageni, Ireri, Kambura, Calen, Lewis, Shem, Brian, Wesly, Faith, Dan, Clifford, Wendy, Haddy and Murugi.
Great grandmother of Keegan Karani, Ayanna Njeri, Avidan, Marbel, Peliah, Nilan, Bravin, Immanuel, Maila Clara, Dylan Munene and Nate Rehan Mwiti
The cortege leaves Chogoria Mission Hospital on Saturday 4th April 2026 at 8.00 am for burial service at her home in Karamani Village, Mukuuni Location, Magumoni, Chuka South Sub County, Tharaka Nithi County.
