It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Wanjiku Mungai, a dedicated teacher at ACK Bishop Kariuki Academy, who departed on 3rd April 2026 following a sudden illness.
Grace was the beloved daughter of the late John Mungai Mata and Mary Wairimu Mungai. She was a loving mother of Peter Kiruri (Chris).
A devoted sister of Salome Muthoni Mungai (St. Paul’s University), Martin Mata Mungai, Elizabeth Mata (USA), and Hope Wanjiru Mungai (USA), and a cherished aunt of Ian Kuria, Ivy Wairimu, John Hue Mungai and Matthew Leo Mungai.
Family and friends are gathering for prayers and funeral arrangements at her family home in Gathunguri, Muthure Village, Gitaru Ward, Kabete Constituency, Kiambu County, everyday from 4:00 PM.
There will be a memorial service at St Paul’s ACK mother church, Kabete next to Mary Leakey Girls at 2:30pm.
The burial ceremony will be held on 10th April 2026 at PCEA Kanyariri Church starting at 11:00 AM, then proceed to the gravesite at her family home in Gathunguri Village.
