It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely passing of Gideon Kirimi Kaburia, which occurred on Thursday morning, October 9, 2025.
Gideon was a dedicated officer within the Health Services Department of Machakos County.
Son of Mr. Francis Kaburia and Mrs. Grace Kaburia, and the son-in-law of Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi and Mrs. Stella Kaimenyi.
He was the beloved husband of Eva Kanyiri, and a devoted father of Mathew Mutuma Kirimi and Mitchell Kathambi Kirimi.
Gideon was a loving brother of Lewis Gitobu, Allan Gichunge, and Rhodah Mukami.
He was a beloved cousin of Eric Mbaya, Purity Makena, Chris Munene, Kevin Mwenda, Phoebe Munya, Yvonne Kinya, Florence Ntinyari Shanga, among others.
He was nephew of the late Mary Mbobua, Pamela Kithinji, Elisheba Wanja Gituma, the late Kenneth Gitonga, Doris Kagendo, Dianah Gatwiri, the late Catherine Ikunda, Fridah Gichuru and Royford Kinoti, the late Monica Ngrĩrĩ, the late Nornam Muthuri, Tabitha Mwari, Jotham Mworia, Lydiah Ndumba, the late Linus Kinoti, Doris Kiende, Phineas Koome, and the late Eliud Mwiti.
Funeral Arrangements
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Bomaview Gardens (Mr. Eric Mbaya’s home) starting at 5:00 PM.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, promptly at 5:00 AM for the journey to Meru.
The Funeral Service will be held at PCEA Mũrũngũrũne Church on Thursday, October 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.
The Burial will take place immediately thereafter at the family home in Mũrũngũrũne, South Imenti, Meru County.
