It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our Patriarch, Ezekiel Kariuki Mwangi which occurred on Tuesday 6th January 2026 at Kenyatta Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nairobi.
He was formerly a Bursar at Lenana School, Kagumo College and Kagumo High School and a former Director at Chinga Tea Factory.
Ezekiel was the loving husband of the late Esther Wambui Kariuki. Father of Dr. Wanjiru Kariuki, Phyllis and Anthony Gitau, Dr. Simon and Joyce Mwangi and Jane Kariuki.
His parents were the late Simon Mwangi Kiambati and the late Zaweria Wanjiru Mwangi.
He was a brother of the late Nicholas Kiambati, late Nicasio Gathii and Jane Muthoni.
He was son in law of the late Jeremiah Kiragu and the late Peris Wairimu.
He was a grandfather of Maxwell, Betty, Amani, Sifa, Angela, Sandra and Glenn.
An uncle, cousin, in law and a friend to many.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his Miiri, Chinga home and at PCEA ST. Andrews Church Nairobi.
The cortege leaves Mwai Kibaki Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 15th January 2026 at 9.00 am and thereafter funeral service and burial will take place at his Miiri farm, Chinga, Othaya Nyeri County.
