It is with humble submission to God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Ellen Nyambura Macharia, which occurred on March 26, 2026 while undergoing treatment.
Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Major (Rtd) Edwin Macharia King’ori. She was the daughter of the late Wallace Wahinya and the late Monica Njeri and daughter-in-law of the late Chief Samuel King’ori Mwangi and the late Elizabeth Kirigo.
She was a devoted mother of King’ori Macharia, Violet Kirigo, Rachel Njeri, and Wahinya Macharia.
She was a mother in law of Edwin Mauka & Andrew (USA).
She was a doting grandmother of Matthew, Alyssa, Edwin, Wangai, Tugi and the late Christian.
She was sister of the late Samuel Kihara, Jane Wanjiku, Betty Murugi, and Joseph Kimani.
She was a sister-in-law of George & Mary Muito, the late Humphrey Mwangi & the late Eudius Mwangi and the late Charles Waweru & Molly Wanjiku.
Medical Fund Appeal:
In her final days, Ellen received specialized care at Westlands Specialist Hospital. We are appealing to friends and well-wishers for financial assistance to offset the outstanding medical bill and giving her a befitting send-off.

Funeral Arrangements:
Meetings for funeral arrangements are being held daily at All Saints Cathedral starting from 5pm.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home (Thika road) on 17 April at 8am for a funeral service ACK St. Paul’s Church Kariki and thereafter burial at her home in Thambu, Othaya Sub-county in Nyeri County.
