It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. Justus Eregae Ekuwom of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) through a tragic road accident.
He is survived by his wife Naomi Erupe and his children Shawn Ekitela, Randy Ekuwom, Kate Imami and Kael Solan.
Justus was the son of Elinga Ekuwom and Esther Nangok of Napeililim village.
He was a son-in-law of Rev. John Erupe Eleman & Miriam Apung’ure Muya.
Justus was a brother of Margaret Ngasike, the late Rosemary Akai, Selina Ngasike, the late Ekalale Ekuwom, Josphat Lochurur and Veronica Lotabony; and brother in-law of Josphat Eleman, Shadrack Adeket, Peninah Napeyok, Rhodah Akai, Salome Achor and Samson Erupe.
Cousin of Ekuwom, Akidor, Adou, Ayanae, Peter, Helen Jalinga, Martin, Lokuruka, Moses, Joyce, Iwan Murmur, Kisito, Akeno, Lomanakwee, Akope, Akatorot, Lokadio, Nakalei, Esuron, Aiyo, Nakuruka, Edoon, Aloch, Akamu, the late Egitan, Aregae, Ngikalalio, Lolem, Akiru, Humphrey, Ambrose, Judy, and the many we’ve not mentioned. He was uncle of Ruth, Achuka, Gladys, Nakapolon, Eunice, Amadang, Asekon, Sammy, Asinyen, Blessing, Nachuch, Ekitela, Etabo, Edapal, Jessica, Christine, Susan, Andrew, Robert, Brian, Antony, Evan, Jaffred, Ivene, Mark, Robert, Ashley and Quincy, Mapeibur, Sagal, Akidor, Akitela, Nasipaan, Ekitoi, Eyanae, Sunday, Ann, Kolee, Lotulya, Moses, John, Derrick, Jane, Edward, Rodah, Duncan, Leonard, Kingsley, Emgomo, Blessing, Leah, Melvin, Susan, Anastasia, Simon, Benson.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Lodwar, Jack City, Kanamkemer.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral home, Nairobi on 30th January, 2026 for burial on Saturday, 31st January, 2026 at Napeililim Village, Turkwel ward, Loima Sub County.
