It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dr. Gichuhi Waweru on 23rd October 2025.
He was formerly a Senior Lecturer at Kenyatta University.
He was a loving husband of Maryanne Gichuhi and a devoted father of Njeri and Waweru Gichuhi. Son of the late Nathaniel and Grace Waweru.
A son-in-law of John Muiruri and Bridget Nyangahu.
He was a brother of John Njoroge, Serah Njoki, the late Benson Wanjau, the late Francis Karanu, Samson Karwendo, the late Naphtali Ndegwa, Ann Wanjiru, Peninah Wanja, the late Peter Mwangi, Joseph Njuguna, and Moses Kuria.
A brother-in-law of Rosalia Kagimbi, the late Anne Wambui, Teresia Mukundi, Andrew Kiarie, Jacinta Mbacia, Mary Macharia, Patrick Ngugi, and Alfred Kamau.
He was a grandfather of Neema Wanjiru amongst others, and a nephew, uncle and friend to many.
Meetings are taking place daily at Public Service Club, Nairobi, from 5:30 pm, while a home mass will take place on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at Nairobi Dam, Lang’ata at 6.30 pm.
The cortege departs from Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home, Nairobi, on Friday 31st October 2025 at 7:30 am for a funeral service and burial in Rwanyambo, South Kinangop, Nyandarua County.
Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
