It is with profound sorrow and deep respect that we announce the passing of Dr. Edgar Kadenyi on Wednesday, 28 th January, 2026.
He was son of the late Alfayo Lundu and the late Rhoda Shonamoyo. Son-in-law of the late Sebastian Manuguti and Elizabeth Masiko Manuguti.
Dr. Kadenyi was a loving husband of Prof.Anne Misia Manuguti Kadenyi of Maasai Mara University.
Father of Csilla, James, Alex, Cedric and Vivian. Father-in-law of Sandra Aya Enimil, Irene Mbowe Kadenyi and Antony Amimo Bwana.
He was a brother of the late Margarita Mung’asia Luseno, the late Rebecca Vigehi Musumba, the late James Kelosyo, the late Allan Imbusi, the late Rufus Kisia and Edah Muhonja.
Brother-in-law of James Obare, Nehemiah Onkendi, Cecilia Tai, Teresa Bosire and Grace Orina of Maasai Mara University, among others.
Vasanji of Hufnagl of Hungary, Kwamina of Ghana, the late Leonard Masonu Mbowe Family of Tanzania and the late Peter Amimo and Roselyn Akeyo Amimo.
A grandfather of Kiara Hufnagl, Cedric Hufnagl, Evlyn Hufnagl, Kendi Mburu, Demetrius Kadenyi, Alanna Misia, Richard Kadenyi, Jed Baruch Bwana, Aya Kadenyi, Cedric Junior Kadenyi and Samara Rose Misia.
He was an uncle of the late Aggrey Luseno, Colonel Douglas Mudave Luseno, Major Dr. Luseno, Geoffrey Bosire, Geoffrey Kisia – Director Immigration Services, Nancy Kisia, Gladys Mgalama, Catherine Musumba, Beatrice Musimbi, Alter Musimbi, Sister Ednah, Tom Orenge, Joel Nyasae, Abel Murang’a and Nancy Ogega among others.
The cortege leaves Vihiga County Referral Hospital Morgue on Friday 13 th February, 2026.
The burial will be on Saturday, 14th February, 2026 at his home in Shamakhokho, Lunyenya Village,Vihiga County.
