Daughter of the late Robert Okumba & the late Miriam Okumba of Kakan – Barding.
Beloved wife of the late Ndugu Samson Chillo Were (Japuonj).
Mother of Mama Rhoda Okeyo, Carey Chillo, Miriam C. Siwa, the late Arthur Aganda, the late Joey Ayoo, the late Geoffrey Omondi, the late Yunia Mboga, the late Daniel Were, the late Rosemell A. Mbori, the late Mariam Adede, the late Benjamin Obura, and the late William Okech.
Sister of the late Cloy Alare, the late Lorna Alare, the late Susan Miruka and the late Beldina Alice Owino.
She was mother-in-law of David S Okeyo, HSC, MBS, the late Francisca Chillo and the late Evans Mbori.
Sister-in-law of the late (Owino Nyaddy, Miruka Ongiri, Jared Alare & Benta NyaWere Odongo,).
Aunty of Dr. Okumba Miruka, the late James Mahero, Dorcas Alare, Christine Miruka, Emily Alare, Maureen Ayieko, the late Dorothy Nyaluo Miruka, Peter Were & Dan Odongo, among others.
Grandmother of the late Edwin Okeyo, Samson Okeyo, Phillip Okeyo, Alice Okeyo, Emily Okeyo,Tabitha Chillo, Juliet Okeyo, Joshua Okeyo, Geoffrey Omondi, Joey Mbori, Bryan Chillo, Peres Chillo, Joey Chillo, Rozemell Chillo, Rhoda Ivy Chillo.
Great grandmother to many.
The cortège leaves Masaba Hospital Funeral Home on 24 th September 2025 at 10.30am for her home in Gangu Ninga Village- Siaya County.
Funeral service and burial ceremony will be on 25th September 2025 from 9.00am to 1.30pm.
