It is in acceptance of God’s will that we regret to inform you of the promotion to glory of Cllr. John Kirimi M’Murungi (JK) who passed on August 20 th 2025 after a short illness.
Son of the late Ibrahim Murungi (Kabwii) and the late Sarah Karai.
He was the loving husband of Marion Nguta Kirimi, a dotting father of Eva and Muriungi Kagane (Nkubu), Peter and Grace Mwenda (Kaaga), Henry and Martha Mugambi (Kinoru), Frida and Njuguna Waithaka (Nairobi) and Geoffrey and Mary Mwirigi (Nairobi).
He was a cherished grandfather of Munene Muriungi, John and Joan Kinoti, Anne Nkirote, David Mwiti, John Kinoti, Winnie Nkatha, Kinoti Mugambi, Nguta Kendi, Murithi Mugambi, Kahaki Njuguna, Isaac Waithaka, Joy Kendi, Ethan Muthomi and Rael Nyakio.
He was an adoring great grandfather of Mutuma Kinoti and Levi Omondi.
He was a treasured brother of the late Gideon and the late Jennifer Mwobobia, Jeremiah and Esther Murithi, the late Harriet and George Murungi, the late Jacob and Janice Mwirigi, Eng. Erastus and Eunice Mwongera and Alice and Charles Mitine.
A step brother of the late Esther and the late Moses, the late Daniel and the late Karimi and Nkirote.
Prayers and comfort services are happening at his home in Uruku, Ruchoro Village,West Wind Hotel Meru-Makutano and Prime Hotel Nkubu starting Monday, 25 th – 27 th August 2025 from 5:30PM.
Funeral service will take place at MCK Kithirune on Friday, 29th August 2025 from 10.00am and thereafter interment at his home in Ruchoro Village, Uruku.
