Beloved husband of Susan Njoki Gachu. Son of Florence Wanjiku Maina and the late Elisaphan Maina Gakahu.
Son-in-law of the late James Mbui Horoho and Grace Muguru Mbui.
Father of Grace Muguru and the late Martin Wambiri, Caroline Wanjiku and James Mwangi, Alex Maina and Edith Wangeci, James Mbui and Felista Nyokabi, David Gakahu, Millennium Waithira and Nicholas Kioko and Stanley Horoho.
Brother of Joseph Gakahu, Nancy Waithira Kiiru, Jane Muthoni Chege, the late Esther Mugechi, Justus Mwangi, Paul Muiruri, Samson Kabuchi, James Kamau and the late Salome Njeri Irungu.
He was a grandfather of many.
Brother-in-law of Mary Wanja, the late Philip Kiiru, Patrick Chege, Nancy Wanjiku, Margaret Wairimu, Mary Wanjiku, Samuel Irungu, the late David Horoho, Beatrice Wanjiku, Robert Kariuki, Daniel Kimani, Lucy Wairimu, Moses Mwangi, Nelson Runo, Pastor Peterson Kamau, Nancy Wambui and the late Stephen Gachuru.
Prayers and funeral planning meetings are being held daily at his home in Nyakahura – Kangema from 4.00pm.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati, on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, at 8.00 a.m. for a funeral Mass at St Martin De Porres Catholic Church, Nyakahura Village, Kangema – Murang’a County, followed by the burial at his family home a short distance away.
