It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Cecilia Mwende Njau of Karia village, Lioki location in Githunguri, Kiambu County which occurred on 21st October 2025 after a short illness borne with fortitude and grace.
Daughter of the late Ngechu Wamonde and the late Maryanne Nduta Ngechu.
Loving wife of the late Antony Njau Mukua. Sister of the late Machaga Ngechu and the late Gladys Wambui Muchai.
Loving mother of Regina Wanjiku (Ruiru), Bernard Muchai (UK), Godwin Ndichu (Nakuru), Samuel Gitau (Nbi), the late Mary Nduta, Julius Chaga (Pekay Bros), James Mathu (Blue Post), Simon Mbugua (Ruiru), Ng’ang’a Njau (Bremar Ltd), Lydia Wairimu (Githunguri), Cosmas Ngunyi (Nakuru), Nelly Wanjiru (Juja Prep), Joan Wambui (Msa), Bibian Waringa (Bidco) and the late Lucas Githinji.
Loving mother-in-law of her daughters and sons in-love.
Grandmother and great grandmother of many.
Friends and family are meeting daily from 4.00 pm at her residence in Karia village, Lioki location to plan for her burial.
There will be a requiem mass on Friday 24th October and Tuesday 28th October 2025 at 4.00 pm at her residence.
The cortege will leave KU Referral Hospital mortuary (KUTRRH) on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at 8.00 a.m for the funeral service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Githare-ini.
Burial will follow thereafter at her home in Karia Village.
