It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of Gods will that the Lopokoiyit family announce the sudden demise of Brigadier (Rtd) Edgar Pkiach Lopokoiyit EBS, formerly of the Kenya Air Force and the Director General of the National Air Support Department (NASD).
Brig (Rtd) Edgar Lopokoiyit was a distinguished pilot and a dedicated officer of over 38 years service in the Kenya Air Force where he had recently retired from.
He was the Son of Mr. Edward Lopokoiyit, CBS (former Commissioner of Prisons). Brig. Edgar was the loving husband of Sarah Kithinji.
Loving father of Brian Ptyos, Ivy Cherop and Peace Relin. In law to the Kithinji’s of Burii Subcounty, Meru County.
There will be a church service on Thursday 9 April 2026 at Moi Air Base, Eastleigh starting at 10 am.
There will be a final meeting on Thursday 9 April from 6 pm at the Public Service Club, Upperhill.
The funeral and burial will be held at his farm in Kitala Kapel, Kacheliba, West Pokot County on Saturday 11 April 2026.
