The family of Remijio Maina wishes to announce the untimely demise of our beloved Betty Wacheke Maina, which occurred on 2nd September 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
Daughter of the late Remijio Maina Ngura and the late Margaret Wanjiru Maina & Virginia Nyaguthii Maina.
She was the sister of James Mbui & Prof. Damaris Nduta (UON), Grace Wanjiku & Maina Karoki (Membley), Jane Wakanyi & Maina Thaka (USA), Charles Kamanda (KCB) & Faith Wanjiru, the late John Ngugi, Elizabeth Nyambura (USA), John Ngura & Joyce Njeri, Charles Mukuha & Sukio Gathoni, Grace Wanjiru, Edward Kamanda & Dorothy Achieng, Jane Mutheki, Elizabeth Wacheke (USA), Cecilia Mumbi & Nana (USA), Jeniffer Waithira, Martin Gichohi, the late Margaret Wanjiku, the late George Kamanda & Lucy Njoki and Mary Waithira. She was a niece, cousin and aunt to many.
Family and friends are meeting at her father’s home in Kanjama and at Munyaka Hotel, Nairobi.
There will be a final prayer and planning meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday, 24th September 2025 as from 5.30pm.
The cortege leaves KU Referral Hospital Funeral Home (Northern Bypass) on Friday 26th September, 2025, at 6.30am.
Funeral and funeral service will take place at her father’s home in Kanjama Sub-location, Kiru Location, Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a County from 10.30am.
