It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Benjamin Gitau Kabiru which occurred on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, at The Nairobi Hospital.
Son of Mr. Samuel Gichuru Kabiru and the late Alice Wanjiku Kabiru.
He was the loving husband of Brenda Khakasa Kasili and treasured father of Lydia Wamuyu, Edward Kabiru Gitau & Bobbie Misiko Gitau.
He was a loving grandfather of Mwangi & Shiro. He was a brother of Emily Masele, Joseph Ngugi, David Kabiru and Njeri Kabiru.
He was a brother-in-law of Paul Litaba, Rosemary Njeri & Mary Consolata Njeri. And an incredible uncle of: the, Litaba’s, Ngugi’s, Muturi’s, Njeris’s and the Kasili’s.
He was a cousin of the: Wacu’s, Wanjiku’s, Njoki’s, Muturi’s, Kinyanjui’s, Muigai’s, Mukuna’s, & Njengere’s families.
He was omukhwe of Mrs. Speranza Kasili & the late Prof. Edward Kasili: and brother-in-law of Geoffrey Kasili, the late Adams Kasili, Paul Kasili, Angela Kasili & Victoria Wamuyu, the larger Bafumi Clan and Mulamwa of Jessica Misiko and Caroline Ashiono.
Relatives, family and friends are gathering daily at his residence in Upper Hill.
The requiem mass will be held on Monday February 2nd at St. Austin’s Catholic Church, Lavington from 10.00 hrs.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Tuesday February 3rd 2026, at 0800hrs for Ereteti, Ololoitikoshi, Kajiado County for the funeral mass at 1000 hrs and thereafter he will be laid of rest at the family home.
