It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Alice Moraa Matara which occurred on 8.10.2025, of Ikobe Village, Mwabosire Sub-location, Manga Location in Nyamira County.
She was the daughter to Reuben Misiani and Isabella Kerubo. Wife to Edward Matara and mother to Josephat Michira, Robinson Nyarang’o, Naomi Kemuma, and Geoffrey Nyambega.
She was the grandmother to Debora Kerebi, Shania Bosibori, Dylan Moindi and Debora Kemunto.
Alice was a sister to Grace Misiani, Peter Omoi, George Ongaki, Sheba Misiani, Milkah Nyabisi, Samuel Misiani and Ann Nyanchama.
Her in-laws include the late Grace, the late Moseti, Julia, Rael, Mokola, Monicah, Moraa, the late Nyachieo, Susan, the late Omboto, Lucinah, the late Ombati, Margaret, the late Nyang’au, Sabina, Sebeti and Mong’ina.
She was Korera to Nathan and Jennifer Nchore, James Gisemba and Ruthjane Kwamboka, Jack and Centrine Wamalwa.
A fundraising to offset the hospital bill and funeral expenses will be held on Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at her home in Ikobe Village, Mwabosire Sub-location.
The cortege leaves MTRH -Eldoret on Thursday, 23rd October 2025 for a night vigil at her home in Ikobe Village, Manga Location, and will be laid to rest on Friday, 24th October 2025
