With profound sorrow, yet in humble submission to God’s will, we announce the passing on of Jenifer Ndunge Mangu.

Jenifer was a remarkable leader whose influence spanned several respected institutions.

She served faithfully within the African Inland Church, where her zeal for child evangelism was widely admired. She was known for her generosity toward the vulnerable in her local community.

She also held leadership roles in Child Evangelism Fellowship, the Rotary Club of Machakos, among other organizations, leaving an indelible mark of service and compassion.

Together with her husband, Gideon Mangu, Jenifer was a visionary entrepreneur and the driving force behind Makamithi Enterprises Ltd.

A nurturing mother and mentor to many, her legacy of faith, leadership, and enterprise will continue to inspire generations.

Jenifer departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home in Machakos on the morning of Saturday, September 13, 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Jonathan Muia Kaatine and Rhoda Kaveni Kaatine, and the cherished wife of Gideon Mangu.

She was a devoted mother of Crispus Mangu, Nikolas Thitu, Titus Kaatine Mangu, and Peter Milo Mangu; a loving sister of the late Richard, the late Mary, the late Shadrack, Joyce, John, Elizabeth, Helen, Ann and Jane.

Jenifer was honored as a mother-in-law of Merana, Marie, and Míša, and as a doting grandmother of Amina, Nora, Mirabehn “Behni”, Claudia, and Jacob.

She was also a treasured sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, confidant, and friend to many.

Family and friends are gathering daily for prayers and condolences at her home in Upper Kiandani, Machakos, from 4:00 p.m., and at T-Tot Hotel on Friday, September 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The cortege will depart Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

A memorial service will follow at the Machakos Golf Club, after which final rites will be conducted at her home in Kiandani Farm.

The burial will take place privately, attended by the immediate family.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:25–26
