We regret to announce the death of Mwalimu Stephen Sikulu Kisiang’ani after a short illness.
He was a retired long serving teacher, former KNUT, Bungoma Branch Executive Secretary and former secretary of Friends Church, Chwele Yearly Meeting.
He was the husband of the late Esther Namarome Sikulu. Father of Emily, Catherine, Charles Edward, the late Martin, the late David, the late Dickson, the late Jimmy, Paul, Maggy, Matayo and Jerry.
Grandfather of Oscar, Harriet, Joseph, Ian, Wesley, Michelle, Remaliah, Ramon, Lulu, Zuri, Michael, Steve, Chris, Rose and Vivian, and great grandfather of Stevo, Angela and Lamin.
Father-in-law of Protus, Anton, and Stella. Brother of the late Simon, the late Timinah Bwome, Anne, Nasiuma, the late Beatrice Wangusi, Robai Mauka, Dorcas Wanjala, the late Edith Khaemba and Dorcas Wanjala.
Step-brother of the late Humphrey Manyonge, Margaret Wamboe, Jones Mutoka, Mary Wanjala, Fred Wanyonyi and Robert Makhino. Cousin of the late Jeremiah Lusweti, Justus Wasike, the late Julius Wamalabe, among others.
He was related to the late Joseph Sikulu, Richard Chambisa, Justus Wepukhulu, Jackson Wabomba, John Sikulu and many others.
He was the brother in law of the late Rose Nasipwondi, late James Barasa, late Rebecca Naliaka, the late Mary Nasike, the late Melab Nasimiyu, the late Joshua Njasi, Peter Kilongosi, Ben Wafula and Ruth Nangekhe among others.
Uncle of Solomon Nabie, the late Francis Wangusi, Diphas Mauka, Margaret Soita, Josephine Khaemba, Juliah Wanjala, Pauline Wanjala, Martin Mutoka, Alex Wamboe, Matayo Manyonge and Matayo Wanyonyi.
The cortege leaves Delight Funeral Services, Bungoma, on 3rd July 2026 for a church service at Kimabole Friends Church at 12.00 pm.
Final funeral rites will be held on Saturday 4th July 2026 at his Malinda Home, Sirisia Location, Sirisia Subcounty, Bungoma County.
