It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of our patriarch, Gerald Hezekiah Munyi on the 27th June 2026, while at Chogoria PCEA Hospital.
He was son of the late Hezekiah Ndiwiga Koru and the late Rael Ngima. He was husband of the late Generosa Ndia and beloved father of Caroline & Commissioner Timon, Christine & Raphael, Mary Rose & Benard, Pauline, Dennis & Frida.
Gerald was brother of the late Joel Njiru, Joshua Njiru, the late Mary Elijah, Teresa Rwamba, Beth Munyi, Alice Nyaga, the late Bertha Kanjama and Lucas Mugo.
He was brother-in-law of the late Egra Cuka, the late Gladwell Gicuku, the late Elijah Njagi, the late Munyi Karukenya, Alvan Nyaga, the late Peter Kanjama, Jackline Mugo, the late Wanjiru, the late Esther, Njiru, the late Njiru and Rael. He was a friend, uncle, grandfather, mentor/role model to many.
Funeral arrangements are currently taking place at his home in Kyeni, Embu East Sub-County every evening.
Funeral service is slated for Tuesday, 7th July 2026, at Kyeni Mission Catholic Church and interment thereafter at his home in Katharino.
