
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely passing of Mwalimu Edward Kiptoo Chelashaw, of Chepkigen Location, Ngeria, Uasin Gishu County, which occurred on 13th June, 2026 following an illness bravely borne.
Loving husband of Grace Chelashaw.
Son of the late Laban Kibirir Chelashaw and the late Maria Talai Chelashaw of Kapsengwet Location.
Brother of Mrs. Sarah Chebii, the late Rael Jemutai, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Maiyo, William Chelashaw, Susan Boswony, Isaiah Birir, Philip Chelashaw, Thomas Chelashaw, and Betwell Chelashaw.
Son-in-law of Kaplom (Kapchepkokwo) of Kimuruk Village, Ainabkoi Location.
Brother-in-law of the late Wilson Chebii, the late John Maiyo, Mirriam, Rebecca, Wilfred Boswony, Mirriam, Stella, and Ruth.
Loving father of Arnold Kipkemboi (The Eldoret National Polytechnic), Jackline Jelagat (JamboJet), Harold Kipkorir (Cyden Distributors), Karen Chemutai (ODPP- Molo), and Brian Kipngetich (The Kericho National Polytechnic).
Father-in-law of Winnie Jeruto, Brian Tuwei, Karen Cherutogh Lopuriang, Oscar Kibetkwan, and Raychealle Chebiwott.
He was blessed with grandchildren; Dwayne Kipkosgei, Adriel Kiprop, Ashley Chebet, Romi Kigen, and was a loving uncle to many.
Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Chepkigen Village, Kipchamo Location, Ngeria, Uasin Gishu County.
The cortège will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 19th June, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. for interment at his home in Chepkigen Village, Ngeria, Kipchamo Location, Uasin Gishu County, which will be held on Saturday, 20th June, 2026.
