It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Doris Wanjiru Mwai on Sunday, 31st May 2026
She was the beloved wife of the late George Mwai Gitumbi and they were blessed with four children: the late Joseph Gitumbi, Susan Ngothi, Paul Ngotho and John Wachira.
She was a cherished daughter of the late Ngotho Kiige and the late Esther Wambui and a devoted sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many.
Nyina wa Gitumbi touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom and unwavering love and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The cortege will leave the Cottage Funeral Home, Nanyuki on Friday, 5th June 2026 at 10.00am.
The funeral service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Nanyuki at 11.00am followed by the burial ceremony at Gitumbi Farm.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her, May she rest in peace, Amen.
