WOI (RTD) FORMER MUTHWANI COUNCILLOR
It is with a heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of WOI (Rtd) Former Muthwani Councillor, Sammy Mwaniki Muindi, which occurred on Wednesday, 20th May 2026 while undergoing treatment at Kathiani Hospital.
Sammy was the son of the late Jeremiah Muindi Nthale, the late Ruth Syomwangi Muindi and Syokau Muindi and son-in-law of the late Rev. Justus Mumo, the late Serah Mumo and Phoebe Mumo.
He was a loving husband of Susan Mutindi and devoted father of the late Sarah Mbithe, Ruth Mbete, Mercy Mbatha, late John Kavatha, Anna Ndungwa and Peter Musyoki.
He was doting grandfather of Carl, Sylvia, Barbara, Bernice, Patricia, Caden, Kimberly, Victor, Darrian, and a great-grandpa of Kaylin, Aiden, Renee and Rianne.
He was brother of the late Kaloki, Beatrice, late Mbula, Josephine, late Nthenya, John, late Musau, Ndunda, Munyiva, Mueni, Mbete and the late Wambua.
He was uncle of Mbithi, Nyumu, Mbete, Carlos, Serah and Tush among others. Cousin of the Mutisos, Ndolos, Muties, Mulis and Muias among others.
The cortege leaves Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home Machakos on 5th June 2026 at 8AM for the funeral service and burial at his home in Muthwani village (Wa Ikaawa), Muthwani sub-Location, Lukenya Location, Mavoko sub-County.
