It is with our deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Clifford Muchoki Muthaka of Gaikuru Village, Gaturia sub-Location, Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri County on 20th May 2026 after a short illness.
He was the beloved husband of Peninah Wanjiku, and a devoted father of Jemimah Njeri, Martha Wairimu, Daniel Muthaka, Paul Gakunu, Hellen Njoki, and Patrick Gaichuhie. Mwalimu Clifford was the only brother of the late Helen Njoki, the late Warigia and the late Wanjiru.
He was a loving grandfather of Clifford Muchoki & Lucy Wangui, Justin Kiruthi, Ruth Wanjiku, Helen Wanja, Christine Njeri, Cliff Muchoki Gaichuhie, Debra Wangari, Faith Wanjiku, Jane Wangari, Morine Wanjiku, Caroline Wanjiru, Precious Wairimu, and Josiah Muchoki.
Mr. Clifford was a great grand-dad of Max Muthaka, Abigail Wairimu, Milan Kanyeki and Jasiel Waweru.
A treasured teacher in Mweru, Chinga and ACK Kiuu Secondary Schools, mentor and pillar to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his Gaikuru Home, starting 4:30 pm for prayers and burial arrangements.
He will be laid to rest on 30th May 2026 at his home in Gaikuru Village, Mukurweini.
The cortege shall leave Mukurweini Sub-County Hospital on 30th May at 9:00 am for burial mass at his home in Gaikuru.
