It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Rose Edith Ogaya, formerly of US Embassy Nairobi, at the MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi.
Wife of Mr. Raphael Victor Otieno of Kamagaga, Ombeyi, Kisumu County. Mother of Elizabeth Achieng Otieno and Shadrack Ogaya Otieno.
Grandmother of Terrence Opore. Daughter of the late Josiah Orieny Agawo and Mama Caren Akinyi Orieny of Rapedhi Village, Kanyadoto, Ndhiwa Sub County, Homa Bay County.
Step daughter of Cecilia Agutu Orieny, Margaret Akinyi Orieny and Florence Akinyi Orieny.
She was daughter in law of the late Benjamin Okwaro and Mama Wilfrida Oluoch of Kamagaga Ombeyi.
Sister of Milka Akeyo, Margaret Owayo, Linet Achieng, Agnetta Okuna, late Florence Atieno, Nicholas Odhiambo, late Jack Otieno, Samuel Odoyo, Saline Agawo, Lilian Atieno and William Agawo.
Sister-in-law of the late Salmon Oyugi, John Wanga, Ted Yara, Hesbon Odhiambo, Monica Akoth, Millicent Awuor, Sharone Odoyo, Sylvia Nyaboke, Pamela Adhiambo, Jedidah Atieno, Lukas Ngere, Boniface Orayo and Mike Ngere among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting at the family residence at Thomson Apartments, Lavington, Nairobi.
Fundraising will be held at Nairobi Central SDA Church (Old Sanctuary), Milimani Road, along Jakaya Kikwete Road on Wednesday 13th May 2026 as from 5.00pm.
The funeral service will be at Lavington SDA Church,Vanga Road off Gitanga Road on 20th May 2026 at 10.30am.
Burial will be on Friday 22nd May 2026 at her home in Rabuor, Kisumu County.
