It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Parliamentary Service Commission announces the sudden demise of Mr. Gathogo Mungai Kamau on Wednesday, 29 th April 2026.
Gathogo was a diligent and dedicated officer, courageous, creative in his work, friendly and generous.
He was the beloved son of Dr. John Kamau Mungai and Elder Margaret Wairimu Kamau, a loving brother of the late Rebecca Ndung’u, Wamathaga Kamau, and the late David Njenga.
He was a brother-in-law of Edward Ndung’u and Elizabeth Nyawira, and a loving uncle of Peace Wanjiku, Joy Wairimu, Gloria Wairimu, Prince Mburu, Ashley Wairimu, Ivy Wanjira, Wairimu Wamathaga, and Kamau Wamathaga.
Friends and family are meeting daily at his father’s home in Kiahuria, Wangige, from 4:00 pm.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Mbagathi) on Thursday, 7th May 2026 at 8:00 am, followed by a funeral service and burial at Kiahuria, Wangige, Lower Kabete.
