KENNETH GICHURU MBOGORI RIRIA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Gichuru Mbogori Riria (affectionately known as Jesu), who tragically lost his life in a road accident in Mwingi on 31st March 2026 while returning from his farm in Tana River County.

Born on 7th March 1970 at Kirwiro Village, Nthimbiri Sub-location, Ntima Location, Meru County. Until his demise, he was an employee of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission based at the Integrity Centre.

Ken was the beloved son of Stella Mukomunene M’Riria and loving brother of Elijah Kirimi, Fridah Kajuju, and Phineas Mworia.

He was a doting father to Gerald Mwenda and Immanuel Mutua. Ken attended Mugambone Primary School and Abothuguchi Secondary School, where he excelled, before joining the University of Nairobi to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

He worked at Unga Group, East African Cargo Services, Kenya Airways, and most recently at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. A faithful Catholic from childhood, Ken was humble, jovial, gentle yet firm, and deeply loved by all who knew him.

A requiem mass will be held on Wednesday, 8th April 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marurui, followed by the funeral service and burial on Friday, 10th April 2026 at St.Augustine Catholic Church, Mugambone, Meru Central Sub-County, Meru County.
