The family of the late Canon Mweri wishes to announce that on Monday 30th March 2026 at 9:30 pm. The Lord God promoted Mama Dorothy Baya Mweri to Glory at Kilifi County Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Silas David Mweri, beloved mother of Charity Mapenzi( (HOI – Mkwajuni Comprehensive) Hon. Owen Yaa Baya, CBS, MP ( Kilifi North Constituency). the late Pamela Kache, Felix Mweri (Malindi) Rt. Rev. Dr. Alphonce Mwaro Baya, (ACK Bishop of Mombasa), Mercy Kadii Baya, ( MAWASCO) Catherine Harusi Baya ( MD KIMAWASCO).
She was grand mother of Ruth Mghoi (Pwani University), Ken, Kuvuna, Maua, Fahari, Brian, Jeff, Mbodze, Blessing, Hariri, Shujaa, Daisy, Shujaa, Mangi.
Great Grand mother of Almasi.
Sister in law of Amb. Benjamin Mweri, Dr. George Mweri, Dorothy, Paulina, Hilda, the late Loice and Betty.
Mother in law of Aisha(Pwani University), Lydia, Martha, Mwanengo, Chando.
The Cortège leaves KCH Funeral Home Kilifi on Sunday 5th April at 2Pm for a requiem Mass at ACK St. Stephen’s Church Dabaso and later a night vigil at her home.
Burial will be at Canon Mweri Family Home Dabaso on Monday 6th April 2026.
