We, Prof. C.K. Maitai and the entire family of the late Agatha Nyambura Maitai, express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love, support, and prayers extended to us during her illness and after her demise.
We thank God for His goodness and for blessing us with Mum for 82 wonderful years. Truly, we have felt His presence and comfort even in this difficult season.
Our special thanks go to Jalaram Hospital (Dr.Raja), the Aga Khan Hospital, especially Dr. Warshow, Dr. Sheikh, Dr. Njoki, Dr Otieno, nursing care team (James Ogolla, Stanley Simwa) and the entire medical team for their support and compassionate care.
We sincerely thank JetFlair Ambulances and Eagles Ambulance Service for the multiple trips they made to and from the hospital.
We deeply appreciate Mum’s dedicated caregivers—Beatrice, Precious, Mary, Susan and Grace—for ensuring she received the very best care at her Loresho home.
The immediate family sincerely appreciate all the support they received – in prayers, condolences and material – from friends and well wishers.
We also thank Mum’s friends and Rosary group, led by Mrs. Kariuki, for standing faithfully with her in prayers and for companionship.
To the professional colleagues of Mum and Prof. C. K. Maitai, including the nursing community (and former colleagues of Mum from Kenyatta National Hospital), and the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, the University of Nairobi, and all international professional colleagues who condoled with us – we thank you.
To the relatives, friends and neighbours at Wamagana – we sincerely thank you for your support and pleasant send off of Mum.
To the clergy and congregations of Consolata Shrine (Westlands, Fr Joseph Musito), Our Lady of Farmers Wamagana Catholic Church (Fr. Amos Wachira), Rev. Stanley Amukoa of CITAM Valley Road, and Pastor Steve Mwangi of God’s Mercies Tabernacle—thank you for your spiritual guidance and support.
To our extended family—mum’s sisters, brother, cousins, nieces, nephews, and all in-laws from both sides—we are sincerely grateful.
We also wish to thank her neighbors in Loresho and all other family and friends, both near and far, for walking this journey with us.
Thank you all, and may God richly bless you.
