It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Arch.Joseph Angulu Shikumo, which occurred on 25th March, 2026, after a short illness.
Son of the late Mzee Harritone Shikumo and the late Mama Joyce Mbayi Shikumo of Khwisero, Mulwanda location, Khushiku.
Son-in-law of the late Rev Habil and the late Rev Josephine Olembo, of Wanakhale village, East Bunyore,Vihiga county.
Beloved husband of the late Lydia Anindo Shikumo. Cherished father of Dorothy Mbuthia, Edith and Edgar.
Loving father-in-law of George Mbuthia and Catherine Okumu.
Doting grandfather of Mugo and Njeri Mbuthia; and Andayi and Baraka Shikumo.
Devoted brother of the late George Shikumo, the late Florence Eshiteti, the late Jephrice Azangalala, the late Elkana Shikumo, the late Wilfred Arunga, Gibson Shikumo and Omurana Shikumo.
Loving brother-in-law of the late Alice Shikumo, Agnetta Shikumo, the late Wycliffe Eshiteti, Rtd Judge Festus Azangalala, the late Samuel Olembo, the late Prof Reuben Olembo, the late Prof. Jotham Olembo, the late Evans Olembo, the late Johnstone Olembo, Mrs Christine Wakhu, Dr Sarah Olembo, Dr Norman Olembo and Aggrey Olembo.
Devoted cousin and uncle of the Mumia’s, Oyombe’s, Eshiteti’s, Azangalala’s, Olembo’s, Wakhu’s. A friend and mentor to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Onyonka Estate, Langata between 6pm and 8pm to condole with the family.
A memorial service shall be held on Wednesday the 8th of April, 2026, at All Saints Cathedral Church from 12.00 noon and he will thereafter be laid to rest at his home in Maraba in Makunga, Kakamega County on the 10th of April, 2026.
To support the family, there will be Fundraising on Sunday, 5th of April 2026, in Onyonka Estate, Langata at 4p.m.
