It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce that Mr. Richard Theuri Kahuthu (Wa-Kahuthu) passed on, on 2nd March 2026.
He was husband to Mrs. Josephine Waguthi, and dear son of the late Zacharia Wanjohi and the late Anna Kabugo.
He was a son in law to the late Kimotho Mucori and the late Martha Mukuhi.
He was father to Rachael Nyawira, Martin Wanjohi Kahuthu, Shelmith Wairimu, Paul Kimotho, Carol Wamuyu and Janis Wanjiku.
He was father-in-law to Khatuchi Khasandi , Mary Muriuki and Gerry Mandale.
He was an in-law to Peter Nyong’a & Salome Eshimuli and Wilfred Muriuki & Khadijah Wanzila and the late John Lubanga & Stella Lubanga.
Mr. Theuri was grandfather (guka) to Jeremy Theuri, Tiiya Waguthi, Taara Eshimuli, Jaba Theuri, Olivia Waguthi, Ivan Theuri, Stella Shakaina, Liam Jabali and Natalia Waguthi.
He was a retired teacher who had great passion for farming. TT (also fondly known) was an energetic and courageous community leader, and a friend to many.
Family and friends are meeting at Riacho Village, Lamuria division.
There shall be a memorial service at Mamalaka Hill City Campus along Mamlaka Road on Friday the 6th of March 2026 at 4.00pm.
The cortege shall leave Naromoru level IV Hospital Mortuary at 10:00 am on the Tuesday 10th of March 2026 and proceed to their family home in Riacho Village, Laikipia County for burial at 11:00 am.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have kept the faith.”
