With deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we regret to announce the passing on of Enoch Sitaka Okwemba of Munungo Village, Emuhaya Constituency, Vihiga County. Until death, Enoch was Deputy Director of Education, Kisumu County.
Enoch was loving husband of Rose Audo Sitaka, father of Roselidah Okwemba, Joseph Sitaka, late Mercyline Makutsa, Charity Achungo and Lilian Ayuma.
Grandfather of Bevan Asher and father-in-law of Austin Okimba of County Governemnt of Busia.
He was son of late Okwemba Angalwa, late Roselida Osiako and Sophia Okwemba, and son in-law of Joseph Mbola and late Phelister Anyoso of Sagam.
Enoch was brother of Nipher, late Phelesia, late Mary, Frank, Peruce, late David, late Gideon, Elijah, Mariah, Rose, Samuel, Barnabas and Edward.
Brother in-law of Dennis, Dorine Ann and Niven.
Cousin of many including Isaac, late Phanice, late John, late Miriam, Noel, late Gerishom, Ebokos, Asieles and Omukolos.
Uncle of among others John, Daniel, Hildah, Dinah, Isaiah, Grace, Peter, Thomas, Inyende, Lonah, Humphrey, Edel, Brian and Calistus.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home for prayers and funeral arrangements.
Cortege leaves Itando Funeral Home on Friday, 27th February 2026 for night vigil at his home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 28th February 2026 starting at 9.00 am at Ilungu Primary School and burial will follow at 3.00 pm at his home, Munungo Village, Ebukhunza Sub-Location, North-East Bunyore Location.
