We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely death of Dr. Pamela Buhere of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), which occurred on 6th February, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Eldoret.
Daughter of Philip Buhere and Leah Nawande Buhere and Step-daughter of Grace Buhere, all of West Kabras location in the Kakamega North Sub-county of Kakamega County.
Pamela was the beloved wife of the late David Misiko Watima, formerly of MMUST.
Affectionate mother of Lisa Princess Nabalayo Misiko, Marvin Watima Misiko, Serena Nambobi Misiko and Lucille Amayoka Misiko.
Daughter-in-law of the late Elizabeth Nabalayo and Mzee Edward Watima of Mulatiwa village of Chesikaki location, Cheptaisi Sub-county, Bungoma County.
Sister of Kennedy, Patrick, Wycliffe, Brown, the late Samson, Edwin, Rebecca (Belgium), Young and Osborne.
Niece of the late Andrew Kisienya, the late Pascal Aura, Nicholas Opete, the late Mutsami, the late Mutula, the late Samuel, the late Maurice, Makokha, the late Simon Kenyanchui, the late Reuben, Ngasi, the late Anona, Nechesa, the late Marsella, the late Tsikhungu, Difina, Khevele, the late Taabu, and Namang’ale and others on her father’s side in Kabras.
Niece of the late Musa Wekesa, the late Bishop James Wanyonyi, the late Samson Wafula, the late Rasoa, the late Fridah, Mary Mukhwana, the late Jones, Annedy Avoga and Miriam Kimkung on her mother’s side.
A cousin of Margaret, Chebet (USA), the late Naliaka, Anthony, Agatha, Linus, Rosemary, Beatrice Sasaka, Anne Mukhwana and Benjamin among others.

A requiem mass will be held on Wednesday, 25th February, 2026, at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology grounds.
The cortege will leave for Chesikaki on 26th February, 2026, for burial at her home on 27th February, 2026.
