With profound sorrow, we announce the death of retired educationist Joseph Joel Waweru Kariuki who died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
He was the son of the late Stanley Kariuki and the late Naomi Wambugwa.
Husband of Susan Wabutia Waweru.
Father of Aida Wambugwa, Ephantus Kariuki, Emma Wanjiku, Alexander Mutune, Francis Kiragu, John Nguru, Naomi Wairimu and Faith Wagaturi.
Brother of the late Alice Wanjiku, the late Eunice Wanjiru, the late Loise Mukina, the late Elizabeth Muthoni, the late James Mwangi and the late Laban Ngichiri.
Grandfather of Clinton, Teddy, Collins, Melvin, Gift, Harriet, Terry, Natalie, Florence, Claire, Tiffany, Abigail and Penelope.
The cortege departs Montezuma Monalisa Funeral home, Kabati at 8am on Wednesday 25th February 2026 for a funeral service and burial at his farm in Gakoigo sublocation, Maragua, Murang’a county.
