It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mwalimu Danson Githinji Njuraita, that occurred on Sunday 15/02/2026 following a long illness.
He is a retired Educationist who served in various capacities in the education sector in Kirinyaga County. He was the son of the late Joram Njuraita Warui and the late Agnes Wakiini Njuraita. Husband of Millicent Muthoni.
Father of Eng. Raphael Murimi, Catherine Wanjiku, Dorothy Wanjiru, the late David Gichira, the late Daniel Karani, Beatrice Wangeci and Timothy Kaguta. Brother of the late Daniel Mugambi, Beatrice Ndiga, the late Lawson Maringa, the late Charles Muriuki and Mercy Kabiri.
Father-in-law of Mary Nyambura, Rosaline Nyaguthii, Kariuki Gicharu and Susan Karugo.
Grandfather of Danson Wanjiku, Danson Murimi, Muthoni Murimi, Nyokabi Murimi, Danson Karani, Collins Karani, Muthoni Karani, Danson Kariuki, Wairimu Kariuki, Muthoni Kariuki, and Danson Kaguta.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kirimunge village, Kanyekiini Sub-location, Kirinyaga Central, Kirinyaga County and at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home, Nyeri at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday, 21st February 2026, for a funeral service at Kirimunge Primary School, from 9.00 a.m. He will later be laid to rest in his farm in Kirimunge, Kirinyaga County.
