It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of our beloved Dr Kenneth Kibaara Rucha of Kenyatta University.
He was the son of the late Samson and Mary Rucha of Makuri Village, Chogoria Location, Tharaka Nithi County.
He was loving husband of Annete Muthoni Kibaara.
Devoted father of Kelvin Mutwiri, Elton Muriuki, Adday Mugendi and Jeremy Ngure.
Father in law of Emily Mutumi.
And doting grandfather of Olivia Muthoni.
Brother of the late Elsus Mburia, the late Loyford Miriti, Eunice Muthoni, Doris Karauki, Sanderson Mugambi, Froda Mbae (Huduma), the late Emily Mukwanjeru and the late Kellen Gatune.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Membley, Riverside Court, Valley Drive and Makuri Village Chogoria location at 5.00 pm.
There will be prayer meetings from 5.00pm at PCEA St Andrews Church Nairobi on Thursday 19/02/2026 & Tuesday 24/02/2026.
There will be a memorial service at Kenyatta University on Wednesday 25/02/2026 from 2.00pm.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Funeral Home on Friday 27/02/2026 and the funeral service will take place at Makuri Girls grounds.
He will be interred at his home thereafter.
