It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of James Vele Malikui, which occurred on 3rd February 2026 at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Husband of Nellie Njambi. Father of David Malikui, Brian Thuku, Lennox Nyambu, Patience Mawondo, and Abigail Wangare.
Grandfather of Lynn Njambi and Diana Nduta.
Brother of Andrew (Botswana), Esther (Botswana), the late Phillip, Samuel, and Eileen (Botswana).
Father-in-law of Edna Mategwa.
Brother-in-law of Ruth & Joe Kithyaka, Minnie & Jack Agevi, Carol & Josiah Wamenju, Josephine, Waithera and Katunyu.
Nephew of Kiilu Velle, late Mulei Velle, late Nzambi Velle, Solomon Makau (USA), Kasyoka Mutua, Mary & Bishop Mulwa (AIC-Presiding Bishop).
He was an uncle to many.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday, 13th February 2026 at 6.00am, for Funeral Service & Burial on the same Day at his home in Kakeani Village, Mutonguni Location, Kitui West Sub-County, Kitui County from 11.00am.
