It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Peter Sabatia Tinega, which occurred on 23rd January 2026 at HCMC Hospital, Minnesota, USA, after bravely battling an illness.
Beloved son of the late Rev. William Tinega and Mama Sarah Tinega. Cherished son-in-law of Mr. Jobesh Ombeki and Mama Hepsiba Ombeki.
A loving husband of Rehema Ombeki.A devoted father of Stephannie, Bryanna and Jesse.
A dear brother of Isaiah, Joyce, Florence, Nicholas, Julius, Lydia, Joshua, Alice, Samuel, Isabella, and Jeridah.
A cherished uncle of many, a cousin of the Mayaka’s, Nyakundi’s, Orori’s, Onkobas, Rev. Orina’s, Gisemba’s, Ondieki’s, Nyaroo’s, Grace (USA) and friend of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers, planning, and fundraising.
The final fundraising meeting will be held on Wednesday 11 th February, 2026 at 5.00 p.m. All Saints Cathedral Meeting Hall, Nairobi.
There shall be a memorial service in his honour at Destiny Faith Ministries on Sunday, 15th February, 2026, after which the cortege will depart Minnesota, USA for Kenya.
The body will repose at Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi, and will depart for Kisii on 26th February, 2026 for an overnight vigil at the family home in Nyabiosi, Manga Isecha.
The funeral service and burial will take place on Friday, 27th February, 2026 at Manga Isecha, Kisii County.
