It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Anthony Kibet Lagat of Samsung Technologies, which occurred on 25th January 2026.
Anthony was the beloved son of Mr. Jacob Lagat and Catherine Lagat. Brother of Teresa Lagat, Cornelius Lagat and Asumpta Lagat.
Brother in-law of Sharon Lagat and lovely uncle of Ayanna Chelangat.
He was a nephew of Sr. Theresa Kiplagat, Scholastica Semut,Thomas Kiplagat, the late Mary Wanyonyi, Maired Kiplagat, Dr. Oliver Kiplagat, Rtd. Col.Peter Kiplagat and the late Angeline Kiplagat; Gabriel Korir, Raphael Korir, Marcella Maritim, late Bishop Cornelius Korir, Michael Korir, Augustine Korir and Pauline Mosonik.
He was a cousin and friend to many.
Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held in Singore Iten.
The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, 7th February 2026 at 7.30 a.m. for a funeral Mass, followed by the rite of committal and final commendation at Singore, Iten.
For them it is the end; for us the beginning.
