With humble acceptance to the will of God, Rt. Rev. James Maria Wainaina, of the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a, announces the passing on of Rev. Fr. Daniel Raphael Muriithi, on 2nd February, 2026. Until his demise, he was working at St. Peters Claver Mwea Catholic Parish.
He was the son of the late Raphael Kibugi and the late Annah Njoki. His siblings were the late Luke Ngare, late Mary Muthoni Magondu, late Thomas Muriu and the late Lucy Wamutira.
He was uncle of late Muriithi and Mary, Bibiana and Ephraim, Kariuki and Kellen, Kinyua, Anne and Gikuru, Jacinta and Mathenge, Lucy and Wanjau, late Peter, Augustine, Nyawira.
John and Rose, Jane, Rhoda, Mary, and Charity.
He was in-law of the late Joseph Kagondu, late Eunice Wangechi and Esther Wanjiku Muriu.
He was a relative of Kimiru’s family of Kerugoya, Michael Nduru’s family, Petro and Mungare family and a dotting grandfather and great-grandfather to many.
The cortege leaves Consolata Funeral Home, Kiriaini Mission Hospital on Monday 9th February 2026, followed by funeral mass and interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, Murang’a at 9:00 am.
Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him.
